iQsim’s mobile QoS testing solutions offer many benefits for GSM providers. GSM refers to Global System for Mobile Communications, and originally was called “Groupe Spécial Mobile.” Today, GSM providers need to make sure quality of services (QoS) provided end-users meet their expectations.
For example, mobile users who find they are roaming should be assured that all of their normal services should be accessible and working efficiently. It doesn’t matter whether the mobile user is in his/her home country or in another nation.
iQsim said in a recent online statement that the user should be able to: send/receive calls and SMS(short message service), send/receive data and access GSM services such as voicemails.
Here are some of iQsim's many benefits. For instance, it has expertise in virtual SIM technology, intuitive web interface and XML API, an advanced price plan and tariff configuration, multi-account and multi-user support, and it can synchronize with any test server. There is also SIM management for mobile testing. The IRON SIM Manager provides an advanced SIM Server to centrally manage SIM cards. The SIM cards allow for the running of test suites in several countries. The IRON SIM Manager allows for flexible price plans, too. The IRON SIM Manager provides redundancy so if one of the SIM Managers fail or becomes unavailable, others SIM Manager appliances carry on managing the entire testing network, the company said.
In a recent interview with TMCnet, Mark Lorenzi, vice president of Operations at iQsim, explained that testing is the “backbone” of the system.
“iQsim provides a solution to thoroughly and completely test the network from the outside user experience to provide a true look at what the user is seeing,” TMCnet’s Allison Boccamazzo reported.
It tests the quality of a network, voice, and makes sure that operators can meet their clients’ expectations, standards and needs, TMCnet adds.
While the company originated in France, it is expanding globally. The company currently services such sectors as enterprises and mobile operators with its mobile communications solutions.
iQsim allows mobile operators to ensure the quality and efficiency of their mobile networks. “Five percent of mobile communications are built incorrectly by mobile operators for many reasons,” Lorenzi said. “So for mobile operators, it’s very important to be able to enforce the billing system with some real testing of the network.”

- SIM Management for Mobile Termination
To offer better rates on local mobile networks, Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs) have to optimize Call Termination costs and maximize SIM cards usage.
- SIM Management for M2M Platform Validation
The M2M solutions deployment is very complex and difficult to test and validate in the lab. Gateways and probes on-site deployment are subject to numerous constraints such as GSM 3G coverage, unexpected multi-operator roaming, international roaming, tariff and service restrictions.
- SIM Management for Mobile Testing
In order for a Mobile Network Operator to be successful, reduce churn and increase customer loyalty, the need to shift from testing network to perform a complete “end to end” QoS Testing has become obvious.
