SIM server provider iQsim has been on quite a roll as of late. The company has enjoyed quite a successful ride last year in terms of honors and awards for its prestigious offerings, and it is far from stopping in 2013. iQsim burst onto the scene with new plans, expectations and more, and the company was more than happy to sit down with TMC to discuss all of this at last week’s ITEXPO (News - Alert) Miami 2013 conference, a bi-annual event that brings all of the latest and greatest in technology and communications, including industry leaders in a variety of spaces for a week stocked with invaluable knowledge and experience.
TMC’s (News - Alert) Stefanie Mosca sat down with Mark Lorenzi, VP of Operations at iQsim, who divulged the company’s plans for 2013, including geographic expansion.
While the company originated in France, it is quickly expanding its already solid worldwide presence, such as the U.S., as well as reaching out to new types of customers for further success. The company currently services such niches as enterprises and mobile operators with its esteemed mobile communications solutions, such as its FS400 Fax & SMS Communication Router revealed just last year. With these mobile communications products, iQsim allows mobile operators to ensure the quality and efficiency of their mobile networks.
“Five percent of mobile communications are built incorrectly by mobile operators for many reasons,” Lorenzi explains. “So for mobile operators, it’s very important to be able to enforce the billing system with some real testing of the network.”
Testing what Lorenzi calls the “backbone” of the system is essential, and that’s exactly what iQsim provides; a solution to thoroughly and completely test the network from the outside user experience to provide a true look at what the user is seeing. You can’t get any more thorough than testing it from a user perspective.
The company also recently revealed its Mobile Robot communications router, which was honored with the 2012 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year award. This solution, according to Lorenzi, “provides a library of many functions to [help] you to write your own scripting.” For example, to test the quality of one’s network, voice and to make sure that these abilities enable operators to meet their clients expectations, standards and needs.
Lorenzi also touches on the company’s Bulk SMS services, GSM Termination services and more in the interview. Check out the entire discussion below, and then head on over to www.iQsim.com to learn more about all of the company’s offerings.

- SIM Management for Mobile Termination
To offer better rates on local mobile networks, Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs) have to optimize Call Termination costs and maximize SIM cards usage. - SIM Management for M2M Platform Validation
The M2M solutions deployment is very complex and difficult to test and validate in the lab. Gateways and probes on-site deployment are subject to numerous constraints such as GSM 3G coverage, unexpected multi-operator roaming, international roaming, tariff and service restrictions. - SIM Management for Mobile Testing
In order for a Mobile Network Operator to be successful, reduce churn and increase customer loyalty, the need to shift from testing network to perform a complete “end to end” QoS Testing has become obvious.
