Big news from iQsim, which has revealed the first new product from its acquisition of QuesCom (News - Alert): the QuesCom FS400 Fax and SMS Communication Router. It’s a stand-alone, plug-and-play solution designed for sending and receiving fax and SMS messages through one’s existing enterprise e-mail clients, thus reducing fax costs and greatly improving overall customer experience.
With the QuesCom FS400 Fax and SMS Communication Router, users can define multiple virtual fax machines to send messages with 4 GSM ports for effective and efficient messaging. This can eliminate the need for in-office fax machines, as well as the need to install any additional software on the enterprise desktops of e-mail servers. Additionally, it provides both BRI and PRI interfaces, ensuring that PSTN and PBX (News - Alert) connectivity is good to go.
With its Administrative Web Interface, managers can access controls from anywhere and whenever they see fit. Similarly, as it sends faxes through e-mail, it can be accessed from anywhere, whether in or out of the office, and with or without a fax machine in sight. Documents are kept safe and secure by being sent and received directly in one’s e-mail box, that way they’re not sitting in the fax tray for anyone to take and see.
Are you thinking this may be just the solution you need or have been looking for?
There are several industries that can benefit from the FS400 – from insurance agencies to banks to the hospitality sector. Many government agencies and hospitals still require fax for sending important documents, in spite of how seemingly archaic the machines may seem these days, so this is a great way to get around it.
“The ability to provide both Virtual fax and SMS communication channel in the same product makes the QuesCom FS400 attractive as a cost reduction enabler, and a tool to enhance the way the enterprise communicates with its environment”, says Laurent Lhermitte, iQsim’s VP of Sales. “A simple, plug & play, all-in-one product, makes the QuesCom FS400 an obvious choice for both small and large enterprises."
In the above configuration, all incoming and outgoing telephony and fax traffic is going through the FS400, and all incoming calls are routed to the enterprise PBX while all outgoing calls are routed from the PBX to the FS400. This transparently routes them to the PSTN.
Fax is still useful, even in today’s online world, but many people still prefer the ease and convenience of e-mail. For people stuck in such situations, the FS400 is an ideal solution. As it receives and sends faxes via e-mail, one can still send the important “fax-only” paperwork or documents without having to find and use a fax machine, or receive anything sent to them without having to wait for it or risk it sitting in the fax tray.
When it comes down to it, for those who heavily fax but would rather not, this is the perfect tool to take advantage of.

- SIM Management for Mobile Termination
To offer better rates on local mobile networks, Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs) have to optimize Call Termination costs and maximize SIM cards usage. - SIM Management for M2M Platform Validation
The M2M solutions deployment is very complex and difficult to test and validate in the lab. Gateways and probes on-site deployment are subject to numerous constraints such as GSM 3G coverage, unexpected multi-operator roaming, international roaming, tariff and service restrictions. - SIM Management for Mobile Testing
In order for a Mobile Network Operator to be successful, reduce churn and increase customer loyalty, the need to shift from testing network to perform a complete “end to end” QoS Testing has become obvious.
